Last Updated: February 25, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes how FieldDrop ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
FieldDrop is designed to integrate directly with your Google Workspace to organize field photos and project data. Because of this, our data collection practices are strictly limited to providing and improving this core functionality.
1. Information We Collect
To provide the App's functionality, we collect the following types of information:

- Location Data: Precise Location (embedded as EXIF metadata in the photos/videos you capture to document field conditions).
- User Content: Photos, Videos, and Other User Content (project names, folder structures, and notes you create within the App).

- Usage Data: Product Interaction (e.g., app launches, screen views).
- Diagnostics: Crash Data (crash logs) and Performance Data (e.g., launch times).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information exclusively for "App Functionality". This means we use your data to:
- Authenticate your account using Google OAuth.
- Create, manage, and upload files securely to your personal Google Drive and Google Sheets.
- Attach accurate location data to your field captures.
- Prevent fraud, implement security measures, and ensure server up-time.
- Minimize app crashes and improve overall performance using diagnostic logs.
We do NOT use any of your information for Tracking or Advertising purposes.
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data, email lists, or diagnostic logs with third-party data brokers or advertising networks.
3. Third-Party Services
FieldDrop utilizes select third-party services to function:
- Google APIs (Drive, Sheets, OAuth): Used as the core infrastructure for your data storage and authentication. Your data is subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Expo: The framework powering the App. We use Expo's services to deliver over-the-air updates, monitor performance, and collect anonymous crash reports to fix bugs.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
Your User Content (Photos, Videos, Notes) is stored directly in your own Google Drive account. We do not maintain secondary external databases of your files. To delete your User Content, you can simply delete the files from your Google Drive.
If you wish to revoke FieldDrop's access to your Google Account, you can do so at any time via your Google Account Security settings.
5. Changes to This Privacy Policy
