Privacy Policy

Last Updated: September 28, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how FieldDrop, made by Logic Stitch LLC ("we", "us", or "our"), handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").

1. How FieldDrop is built, and why it matters

FieldDrop runs entirely on your device. We do not operate a server, a database, or any cloud infrastructure that holds your data. The App communicates directly from your phone to Google's APIs using credentials stored in your device's secure keychain.

The practical consequence: your photos, videos, recordings, notes, and reports go straight from your phone into your own Google Drive account. They do not pass through us. We have no copy of them, no ability to retrieve them, and no infrastructure through which anyone at FieldDrop could read them.

2. Information the App handles

Linked to your identity

All of the above is stored on your device and in your Google Drive. None of it is stored by us.

Not linked to your identity

3. Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets

FieldDrop requests the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive scope. It uses that access to:

FieldDrop does not download your photos, videos, recordings, or documents from Drive, and never reads a Google Doc back. What it reads from Drive — the folder list, your company Sheet, the Drop Zone Sheet, its own place backup, and link previews — is used on your phone and is not sent anywhere else.

4. Limited Use disclosure

FieldDrop's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Specifically, we affirm that we do not:

5. AI processing (Google Gemini)

FieldDrop can use Google's Gemini API to write a report from your spoken walkthrough and photos, and to format or reword your notes. AI features are optional; you can use FieldDrop without them.

Your key, your account, directly with Google. AI features use a Gemini API key that you create in your own Google AI Studio account and enter in the App. The key is stored only in your phone's secure keychain. When you use an AI feature, your phone sends the request directly to Google. It does not pass through Logic Stitch LLC or any server of ours, and we never receive, see, store, or have access to what you send or what Google returns. Your use of Gemini is between you and Google, governed by Google's Gemini API Terms and Privacy Policy, and any charges for your key are billed to you by Google.

Free keys vs. paid keys. Under Google's current terms, content sent with a free (unpaid) key may be used by Google to improve its products and may be reviewed by people at Google. Content sent with a paid key (Cloud Billing turned on) is not used that way. If your photos or notes include information you consider confidential, such as client details, security layouts, or access codes, use a paid key or leave AI turned off. Google sets these terms and may change them.

What is sent to Gemini:

What is never sent to Gemini: anything read from your Google Drive — folder or project names, your company Sheet, the Drop Zone, or files stored in Drive. The App adds the project name and title to the report itself, on your phone.

You can turn off Let the AI look at the photos in Settings; reports are then written only from what you said and typed, and no photo is sent.

We are not responsible for Google's processing. Because AI requests go straight from your device to Google under your own account, Logic Stitch LLC does not control and is not responsible for how Google processes, stores, or uses that content, or for the availability of Google's services.

Check AI output. AI can be wrong or incomplete. Review every report, measurement, price, and quote before you rely on it or send it. You are responsible for what you send to your customers.

6. Optional notifications

Your company may configure a notification webhook — typically a Google Chat space — so that a supervisor is alerted when field uploads happen. This is configured by your organization in its own project spreadsheet, and is off unless your organization turns it on.

When enabled, a notification contains the technician's name, the project name, the number of files uploaded, the text of the field note, and a link to the Drive folder. It never contains file contents, photographs, or credentials.

Reminders the App shows you (photos waiting to be filed, places you chose) are created on your phone. Nothing is sent to us to produce them.

7. Third-party services

8. Credentials, private details, and security

Your Google OAuth tokens are stored in your device's hardware-backed secure storage (iOS Keychain / Android Keystore), marked as available only on this device. They are never transmitted anywhere other than Google's own authentication endpoints.

Codes, passwords, Wi-Fi passwords, accounts, and private notes you add to a job site are kept only on your phone, in the same secure storage, and are shown only after Face ID (or your passcode). They are never put in Google Drive, the Drop Zone Sheet, or anywhere else.

Signing out, switching accounts, or performing a factory reset in the App clears these credentials and private details along with all account-scoped data on the device.

9. Data retention and deletion

Your content lives in your own Google Drive. We maintain no external copy.

Because we hold no copy of your data, there is no separate deletion request to make of us.

10. Children's privacy

FieldDrop is a professional tool for trade contractors and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices or in Apple and Google requirements. Changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date above.
